Can I make copies of my recordings?

Situation: You want to make copies for friends and family, and you want to know what you can do without violating copyright law.

    Solution:

The material on this website is copyrighted by The Moody Bible Institute.  Our intent is to make the material available.  There are however significant costs involved and your compliance with copyright law, in addition to being the right thing to do, will allow us to fund and therefore continue this ministry.

    For audio CDS:
You may make a back up copy and, from it, make replacement copies as necessary.  You can also load the CD onto you computer and, from it, generate MP3 files to be used by your immediate family.

    For MP3 downloads:
We suggest you make a backup / hard copy on a data CD so you can recover the file should your computer fail and you need to recover the data.  You can make copies of the MP3 files for your immediate family.  You can also make an audio CD so you can listen to the material on a regular audio CD player.

For MP3 sets on data CD:
We recommend you immediately load the material onto your computer and save the CD as your backup / archive.  You can then use the MP3 files as you would an MP3 download.

What do I do if I can''t find a recording I''m looking for?

Situation: You heard a recording or something broadcast on the Moody network and you want to get a copy, if possible.
    Solution:

    [--- UPDATED: 12/3/2007 6:40:10 PM ---]

We provide a couple of search approaches that might assist you in finding a particular recording.  They are:

    1) You can pull up collections of recordings...where the recordings are grouped by radio program (e.g. Proclaim), by conference, and by series (e.g. Nature Corner).

    2) You can search by speaker name.

    3) You can search by what you think the title of the recording might be...or use a phrase that might be included in the recording description.

You can hear samples of each talk, so if you think you found what you are looking for we suggest you listen a few minutes of the material.  That might help you confirm you found what you are looking for.

NOTE:  Our call center does not know what is broadcast on each Moody radio station at any point in time.  So please do not call them for order assistance if you do not know what you want.  Instead, if you aren't sure what you heard but you know the station and time of day of when it was broadcast, drop us a customer service ticket (click on "contact us").  We will forward your request to someone at the Moody Broadcasting Network to see if they can help you.

Why is my order on CHECK HOLD?

Situation: Your order is on Check Hold. What exactly does that mean? Is there something else you need to do?

    Solution:

Your order is on Check Hold because you told us you wanted to pay for the order with a paper check. When you do that the order goes on Check Hold until we receive payment. At that time we will ship your order and, if you ordered MP3 downloads, make them available. So, if your order is on Check Hold and you haven't yet sent us payment, send your check to:

      MoodyAudio.com
      3709 Devonshire Lane
      Bloomington, IN 47408

And please write your order number on the comment line of the check.

Why is my order on HOLD?

Situation: Your order is on Hold. What exactly does that mean? Is there something else you need to do?

    Solution:

An order goes on Hold when you actually enter the credit card processing screen but, for whatever reason, don't complete it. That can happen for two reasons:  Either (1) you decide not to complete the order and you simply don't finish placing the order, or (2) you try to submit your credit card but the transaction doesn't go through.

If you decided not to place your order there is nothing further to do. We will keep your order on hold for a minimum of 60 days so you can come back to it if you wish. After that time we will remove it from the system.

If you actually attempted to place your order but it failed the order stays on hold so you can attempt to resubmit it. Check for typos and make sure the contact address you gave us is the same as what you gave your credit card company. If you are still having problems, please contact us.

In such a situation, please contact us by submitting a customer service ticket rather than calling the call center.  The call center does not have the necessary security authorization to resolve this.  So, please click on "Contact Us" on the lower right of your screen and then submit a customer service ticket. Someone will respond within 24 hours.  And please do not put any credit card information in the correspondence.
